Making the transition from college to the pros is always difficult for professional athletes, but that is even more true in the NFL, where rookies are often expected to make an immediate impact for their new teams. For Dallas Cowboys‘ offensive lineman Tyler Booker, his transition to the NFL has been made even more difficult thanks to the constant online hate his girlfriend, Kalani Bagsby, has been receiving on social media from fans.
Bagsby has amassed a large following on social media recently, but not all the interactions she’s had with folks online have been positive. In fact, a large segment of people have been harassing her for her appearance on her posts. When discussing the situation, Bagsby took aim at her haters and let everyone know that she isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Kalani Bagsby Responds to Online Haters
The Cowboys selected Booker with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft to come in and be a key piece of their offensive line for the long-term future. While his career got off to a strong start, he’s missed Dallas’ past two games due to a high ankle sprain, and it doesn’t seem like he will be back on the field for Week 6.
Off the field, Booker has been in a relationship with Bagsby since they met during their freshman year of college, as both of them attended Alabama. While Booker turned himself into an NFL-caliber prospect on the field with the Crimson Tide, his relationship with Bagsby continued to grow off the field as well.
Since getting drafted to the pros, though, the bigger spotlight hasn’t always been a positive for Bagsby, as she continues to get trolled by people on social media for her appearance. And yet, the hate doesn’t bother Bagsby, as she said that she’s going to continue supporting Booker and the Cowboys on social media, no matter what people say about her.
“I know how to handle [the hate] and I don’t mind putting myself out there if that means I know I’m helping someone else, and I know that I’m showing someone else ‘Girl, you can do this,’” Bagsby said, per Tabitha Parent of “People.com.” “You’re perfect, how you look … I know I’m that representation and I know that it’s helping other girls that look like me be confident in themselves.”

As if making the leap to the NFL wasn’t already hard enough, Booker has also had to worry about Bagsby and make sure she’s doing OK amid all the criticism she’s received. The good news is that it does not appear to be getting to her, which has likely taken a load off of Booker’s shoulders as he continues to work on making an impact for Dallas.
After going down with his aforementioned ankle injury in Week 3, it was revealed that Booker is expected to miss four-to-six weeks recovering from this ailment. While he hasn’t been placed on injured reserve, he didn’t practice on either Wednesday or Thursday, indicating that he’s unlikely to play in Week 6. The Cowboys will be taking on the Carolina Panthers in Week 6, and they will be aiming to earn their second straight win after defeating the New York Jets last weekend.
