Kyren Wilson once stopped an elderly spectator being thrown out despite mobile phone ringing THREE times

KYREN WILSON once stepped in to stop an old man being thrown out of Alexandra Palace after their phone rang THREE TIMES.

This extraordinary incident occurred back in January 2018 when the kind-hearted ace was taking on Mark Allen in the Masters Snooker final.

The 32-year-old, who is attempting to win the World Snooker Championship for the first time, was chasing his maiden major title when a mobile phone interrupted the action several times.

However, instead of him venting his anger as security removed the culprit, Wilson instead showed huge compassion once the person the phone belonged to was pointed out.

“Don’t kick him out. Just turn it on silent,” he said after spotting the elderly gentleman.

As the crowd started to applaud him, he continued pleading: “Don’t kick him out. No, don’t kick him out.”

As the official asked fans to point the culprit out to security, the star once again said: “Let him in after the interval, yeah.”

Another round of applause ensued as the commentators hailed Wilson.

“Ah bless him,” said one member of the commentary, “he’s a fair aged gentleman.

“He probably won’t know how to switch the phone on to silent.

“That was very nice from Kyren there.”

Then there was an even bigger cheer when Wilson potted the green after all of the furore.

Unfortunately for him he went on to suffer defeat that day to the Northern Irishmen 10-7.

However, Wilson is hoping for better luck this week at the Crucible.

He called a foul on himself in a classy gesture at the World Snooker Championship before hilariously taking it back after a TV replay.

Now he is up against David Gilbert in the semi-final as he looks to take a step closer to becoming king.
