Luke Littler refuses to answer awkward question from Wayne Mardle after winning fourth Premier League night vs Rob Cross

LUKE LITTLER remained coy when asked if he is the best darts player in the world.

The teen sensation took the Premier League by storm once again by winning his fourth night in Aberdeen.

He made it successive wins after claiming victory last week in Liverpool, repeating his trick of beating Rob Cross in the final.

After the match Littler revealed he is starting to feel settled in the Premier League, having won four of the previous six weeks.

He has a healthy eight-point lead a the top of the Premier League Darts table, but remained humble when asked if he is the best player in the world.

Commentator and Wayne Mardle made the suggestion to the 17-year-old, with Littler replying: “No. I don’t know. Not me.”

Littler’s victories over Nathan Aspinall, Michael Smith and Cross in Scotland means he had qualified for finals night at the O2 in London.

Earlier in the competition Littler said he was only focused on qualifying, and now he feels a little more relaxed having achieved his aim.

He added: “Now I can settle next week in Leeds and the last one in Sheffield and I can just play with a free throw now that I’m through.

“I’ll aim to win the two nights coming up but if it’s not to be, it’s all about getting ready for London.

Littler extended his lead at the top of the table

“I think I’ve definitely settled myself into it, I know the routine. I’ve won four nights now and I feel like I’ve settled myself.”

Littler has appeared more brash on stage in recent weeks, following up his taunts in Liverpool by shushing the crowd in Aberdeen after beating Aspinall.
