In recent weeks, Katherine had posted lighthearted videos of herself packing up their home while Matt competed at The Players Championship. At the time, the move sparked curiosity. Now, it appears it may have been tied to something far more exciting: the couple is expecting a child.

In an Instagram post, the couple revealed the news through a series of black-and-white photos. The images, captured by Maya Schauffele, wife to fellow PGA professional Xander Schaufefele. The pictures show the pair smiling and relaxed as they celebrate this new chapter in their lives
The couple went public with their relationship back in 2023. After that, they were spotted together frequently. Katherine even acted as caddie for Matt during the 2023 Masters Par-3 competition.
They became engaged in September 2023, and a little over a year later the two married at All Saints Episcopal Church near Bay Head Yacht Club in New Jersey.
Matt Fitzpatrick Recent Success on Tour
The announcement comes during a strong run for Fitzpatrick. The 31-year-old now has three wins on the PGA Tour, with his latest victory at the Valspar Championship standing out as particularly impressive.
Just one week earlier, Fitzpatrick narrowly missed out on a win at The Players Championship, finishing behind Cameron Young. Rather than letting that disappointment linger, he carried his momentum into the following week, delivering a composed and determined performance at Innisbrook Resort Copperhead Course to secure another title.
Matt is expected to return to golf in coming weeks, likely to compete in the 2026 Masters Tournament from April 9-12.
