Miami Heat Announce Concering Injury News for Jaime Jaquez Jr.

The Miami Heat announced that Jaime Jaquez Jr. has been ruled out of the team’s January 3 matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Jaquez sustained a sprained right ankle after stepping on Timberwolves forward Julius Randle’s foot. He was immediately subbed out of the game and headed back to the locker room.

The team initially announced that Jaquez was likely to return with a sprained right ankle, before ruling him out of the game just moments later.

Jaquez has 6 points, 3 rebounds and led the team in plus/minus at +8 at the time of his exit from the game.

Multiple players have sustained injuries for the Heat in the game. Guard Norman Powell left in the first quarter with right leg soreness before later returning.

Heat forward Nikola Jovic also sustained an injury to his quad after being accidentally kneed when trying to block a shot. He remained in the game despite a small limp.
