The Kansas City Chiefs‘ dominant win streak came to an end following their 28-21 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 9.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who’s thrown for three touchdowns during the past three games, couldn’t complete a passing or rushing score against the Bills. As for Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, he made the most of his targets, catching 4-of-5 passes for 66 yards.
Mahomes took responsibility for the offensive issues after the game. When asked if he sees Kansas City meeting the Bills again in the playoffs, he’s taking things one week at a time.
“I mean, we got to get there first,” Mahomes told reporters. “We got a lot of good teams in our division, and they’re playing really good football. We’re down there at third place right now. And so, we got to get back and get ourselves right. You know, we got to play better football.”
Kelce didn’t speak to reporters after the game, however, fans will likely hear his take on the loss during Wednesday’s episode of “New Heights.” Noticeably absent from the Chiefs-Bills matchup at Highmark Stadium, Kelce’s fiancée, Taylor Swift.
Swift has attended every Chiefs’ home game this season and cheered Kansas City on during their 28-7 win over the Washington Commanders in Week 8. While her presence was missed, she popped up in New York City one day later.
Taylor Swift Enjoyed a Night Out With Gigi Hadid in NYC After the Chiefs’ Loss
The 14-time Grammy winner stepped out in New York City with model and close friend Gigi Hadid on Monday, November 3. The duo went to Zero Bond, a private club in Greenwich Village.
Photos of the pop star immediately turned heads. One fan commented on Instagram, “Taylor’s hair 😍 !! Her fit, her makeup. Everything’s on point.” Another person wrote, “Absolutely loving this look! Very Red (2012) in the best way.”
Swift dined at Chez Margaux in Manhattan just three days before the Chiefs-Bills game, leading some fans to believe she’d make it to Highmark Stadium since she was already in the area. However, Swift hasn’t attended a game in Buffalo since the AFC divisional round in January 2024, and it was not a good experience.
Swift was also in the neighborhood during last season’s regular-season Chiefs-Bills matchup. The 35-year-old was in the midst of performing six nights of the “Eras Tour” at Rogers Centre in Toronto.
While she had a four-day break that coincided with the Nov. 17 matchup, she did not attend. However, Swift didn’t attend any road games last season save for the Super Bowl in New Orleans.
Chiefs TE Travis Kelce Will Likely Reunite With Taylor Swift During the Bye Week

Kelce flew back to Kansas City with his teammates following their loss to the Bills. But considering the 10-time Pro Bowler has the week off, fans hope to see Kelce reunite with his future bride during the bye.
However, the famous couple may choose to keep a low profile. The Daily Mail reported that Swift’s upped her security this year.
The “Life of a Showgirl” singer “has wanted to feel much more protected this year with her security, especially with her current stalker issue,” the outlet reported. “[She] doesn’t want her whereabouts known every minute of the day… She wants to be safe, and she wants her family and friends to be safe.”
