Newcastle United have submitted a €24 million (£20.7m) bid to sign AIK winger Zadok Yohanna, according to reports in Sweden.
The 18-year-old was signed from the Ikon Allah Football Academy in Nigeria last year and has made an immediate impact for the Swedish club with five goals and four assists in just 12 appearances.
Yohanna, a left-footed winger who plays on the right flank, was initially brought in to AIK’s Under-19s but was quickly promoted to the first-team squad after impressing at youth level.
‘He has an impressive array of strengths, including his dribbling, close-range technique, outstanding one-on-one ability and a sensitive left foot,’ said Fredrik Wisur Hansen, AIK’s scouting manager.

According to Expressen, Brighton tabled a €23m (£19.8m) offer for Yohanna last weekend.
However, Newcastle have now entered the race and with an offer of €24m (£20.7m) plus add-ons.
The report adds that AIK are now negotiating with both Brighton and Newcastle over a deal for Yohanna.
The deal for Yohanna is now set to be the most expensive sale in the history of Sweden’s Allsvenskan, overtaking Bazoumana Toure’s €14m (£12.6m) move from Hammarby to Hoffenheim last year.
