A FOOTBALL clash in Mexico descended into chaos after a goalie’s brutal elbow smash led to a mass brawl on the field.

Rivals La Piedad and Salamanca faced each other on Monday night in a heated third-division game, with some fans comparing it to a boxing match featuring national hero Canelo Alvarez.

But their goalkeeper Axel Quiroz suffered a moment of madness as the derby pressure took its toll.
