Phil Foden has missed Manchester City’s Premier League match against Crystal Palace due to an ankle injury.
The 24-year-old was seen limping down the tunnel at Old Trafford last Sunday following City’s goalless draw against Manchester United.
For Saturday’s game at home to Palace, Foden was left out of City’s matchday squad by Guardiola.
When asked about Foden’s absence before kick-off on Saturday, Guardiola said: ‘He had an injury at Old Trafford and he didn’t recover well.’
City are also without Erling Haaland, and Manuel Akanji, John Stones and Nathan Ake and Rodri due to injury.

Subs: Ortega Moreno, Grealish, Doku, Bernardo, Reis, Savinho, Nunes, Khusanov, Bobb

Subs: Matthews, Ward, Matheus Franca, Clyne, Hughes, Chilwell, Devenny, Kporha.
Meanwhile, midfielder James McAtee has been handed his first Premier League start for City.
The 22-year-old has made 11 Premier League appearances off the bench this season.
Elsewhere, Rico Lewis is preferred to Matheus Nunes at right-back, while Nico Gonzalez replaces Bernardo Silva in midfield.
Before kick-off, City sit sixth in the Premier League and a win would put them fourth and two points clear of Chelsea and Newcastle.
Palace are 11th in the table and a win at the Etihad Stadium would see them leapfrog 10th-placed Bournemouth.
