Queen Camilla told Novak Djokovic she has her ‘fingers crossed’ for him ahead of his quarter-final match at Wimbledon.
Camilla was joined by her sister Annabel Elliot in the Royal Box on day 10 of action at SW19 on Wednesday.
Seven-time champion Djokovic is on Centre Court this evening against Italy’s Flavio Cobolli with a place in the semi-finals of the competition up for grabs.
Ahead of the action, Camilla was introduced to the Serbian on the players’ lawn by All England Club chairwoman Debbie Jevans.
Jevans told Camilla of Djokovic: ‘He especially wanted to come and meet you,’ with the Queen telling the tennis star she was ‘keeping her fingers crossed’ for him.’
Djokovic replied: ‘It will be my great honour. I appreciate it.’

The tennis legend went onto seal a 1-6 6-4 6-4 6-4 win after arguably the worst set of his career, jokingly blaming his rotten start on the presence of former rival Roger Federer in the crowd.
‘I mean this is probably the first time he (Federer) is watching me where I have won the match,’ Djokovic said in his on-court interview.
‘The last couple of times I lost, so it’s good to break the curse.
‘It is obviously great to have Roger here.
‘He is a huge champion and someone I admired and respected a lot.
‘We shared the stage for many years and it is great to have him back at his most successful and favourite tournament, no doubt.’
