The Los Angeles Rams announced a slew of injuries on their first day of practice in Week 14, as they prepare to face the Arizona Cardinals. Rams head coach Sean McVay announced multiple players, all starters, would either be limited or non-participants.
The Rams still have two more sessions this week before game day.
With Pro Bowlers Davante Adams and Kyren Williams headlining the update, those sessions will be even more critical.

The Rams ultimately drew attention for their first injury report of the week, but it followed what McVay forewarned would be the case.
“As far as injuries are concerned,” McVay told reporters on December 3, “Kyren, Kam Kinchens, and Omar Speights will be limited. Davante, with his hamstring, will be a DNP. Darious [Williams], a little bit of a–tibia is kind of bothering him. So, he’ll be a DNP. And then, Poona Ford with his calf will be a DNP.”
None of Adams, Ford, both of whom signed with the Rams in free agency this offseason, Kinchens, or Williams has missed any time this season. The Rams listed Ford and Kinchens as questionable heading into Week 13, but they both played.
McVay previously said the Rams emerged from Week 13 “fairly clean.
He noted that Adams and Williams were dealing with some “typical bumps and bruises.” And while he did not mention Ford, Kinchens, Speights, or Williams by name, he did address them.
“Nothing that we expect to restrict guys from being available this week,” McVay told reporters on December 1. “Might limit some guys in practice once we see how they come in [Tuesday], but nothing that we expect to affect game statuses for Arizona.”
Wednesday’s practice report should be far more telling for McVay and the Rams.
Tutu Atwell Remains in Limbo

McVay was also asked about the Rams’ ongoing decision not to activate Tutu Atwell from injured reserve to the active roster.
They opened Atwell’s 21-day practice window in Week 13, after McVay suggested he was nearing a return. However, roster construction has served as one final obstacle keeping Atwell stuck in limbo. McVay fielded a question about Atwell remaining on IR past his 21-day window.
That would rule him out for the rest of the season.
“We haven’t gone down that road yet. But there are some number things, like what we’ve talked about. Got a lot of love for him, and what he’s done, and how he’s handled it,” McVay said. “It’s just kind of been a unique set of circumstances relative to the timing and figuring out how you get 48 guys up, and kind of being able to balance that out relative to how many on offense, how many on defense—obviously, your three specialists.
“And so, that’s not something that we’ve explored or really thought’s a possibility, but you never know.”
The Rams re-signed Atwell on a one-year, $10 million contract in free agency during the 2025 offseason. Atwell, 25, was a second-round pick, selected No. 57 overall by the Rams in the 2021 draft.
He has caught four passes for 164 yards and 1 touchdown this season.
He has a 103-1,507-5 career line. McVay previously said Atwell has done everything that the Rams have asked. Yet and still, Atwell remains off the Rams’ active roster on IR.
