The Los Angeles Rams have made some changes on offense this offseason after falling just short in the NFC Divisional Round against the Philadelphia Eagles last season. As long as Matthew Stafford is under center, the Rams will have a shot to win games, but could there be room for the team to add another playmaker to the offense before the start of the 2025 campaign?
Los Angeles opted to move on from Cooper Kupp this offseason, bringing in Davante Adams to work alongside Puka Nacua at wide receiver. With Stafford under center and Kyren Williams in the backfield, Los Angeles’ offense looks good. However, they could use some help at tight end, and with the Atlanta Falcons reportedly being open to fielding trade calls for Kyle Pitts, let’s check out a trade pitch that would see him land with the Rams.
Rams’ Kyle Pitts Trade Pitch
Rams get: Kyle Pitts
Falcons get: 2026 second-round pick
The Falcons selected Pitts with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft with hopes that he could become the focal point of their offense. Pitts enjoyed a solid rookie season, catching 68 passes for 1,026 yards and a touchdown, earning him a Pro Bowl selection. In the three seasons since, though, Pitts has struggled to come close to replicating that production for Atlanta.
There are legitimate gripes to be had about the Falcons’ odd usage for Pitts, as they have struggled to consistently get him involved on offense. Yes, Pitts is partially responsible for his own woes, but it’s clear that when he’s getting the ball, he has the ability to take over a game. He hasn’t panned out yet, but his upside is enough to catch the attention of a potential Super Bowl contender like Los Angeles.
Pitts is entering the final year of his rookie deal, which means that if Atlanta wants to give up on him, now is the time to do so. While the front office isn’t exactly openly shopping him, it’s clear that if the right offer comes across the table, they’d be open to pulling the trigger on it. Getting a second-round pick for a tight end who has yet to pan out and is entering the final year of his contract would have to be considered a massive win for the Falcons.
Los Angeles has a history of being aggressive when it comes to moving draft picks in exchange for proven talent, which is why a deal like this could make sense. Tyler Higbee, second-round rookie Terrance Ferguson, and Colby Parkinson headline the tight end position, but they don’t exactly jump off the page. As a result, a move for Pitts could reinforce the position, while also increasing the overall talent level of the Rams offense.
Would Rams, Falcons Be Interested in This Kyle Pitts Trade Pitch?

Kevin C. Cox | Getty At least one NFL executive believes the Atlanta Falcons could try to find a trade partner for Kyle Pitts.
Atlanta is reportedly looking for a Day 2 pick in exchange for Pitts, so getting a second rounder in return for him would likely make the front office quite happy. There’s always the risk that Pitts could break out with a new team, but the possibility of losing him for nothing in free agency next offseason may be enough for the front office to move on from him if they don’t feel like a contract extension is likely.
While the Falcons would surely be interested in this trade, it remains to be seen whether or not the Rams would be willing to sacrifice such a high draft pick for Pitts. They have been aggressive in dealing away their picks in recent years, but Pitts is going to need a new deal, which has to be factored into a potential deal. As a result, this may ultimately be a bit too pricey for Los Angeles, but if their front office is high on Pitts, they could overpay in order to bring him to town.
