Canadian Alphonso Davies, 23, is widely-believed to be heading to the Bernabeu once his contract expires in June.

But he didn’t care as he rifled the visitors into the lead with a rocket on 68 minutes.

Ex-Tottenham men Harry Kane and Eric Dier, who suffered defeat to Liverpool in 2019, were both thinking about hopefully securing their first piece of silverware back in the capital.

However, Jude Bellingham’s dream first campaign at the Bernabeu is set for another chapter after an incredible finish.

Joselu came off the bench to level in the 88th minute before two minutes later he scored again.

That was initial ruled out for offside, but a quick VAR check showed he was onside and that sparked wild scenes.
