Mbappe, 25, was unable to help the Ligue 1 giants reach the final as they were beaten 2-0 on aggregate by Borussia Dortmund.

PSG lost both legs 1-0 as they failed to score across 180 minutes of action against the Bundesliga outfit.

As a result, Mbappe was not in the mood to deal with reporters after the game.

He was asked whether he would be supporting Real Madrid or Bayern Munich in the other semi-final.

Instead of answering the question, he pulled a face by rolling his eyes and stormed off.

Real and Bayern face off tonight at the Santiago Bernabeu in the second leg as the sides drew 2-2 in Germany.

Mbappe is expected to join Madrid in the summer as he leaves PSG at the end of his contract.

The exit in the last four means that he will not get another chance to win the European competition with PSG.

The club has been frustrated by the tournament having never been able to lift the trophy.

This is despite dominating French football in a period that has seen the club win Ligue 1 ten times since 2013.

PSG did reach the final of the Champions League in 2020 but lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich.

The loss to Dortmund would have been even more disappointing having played the team in the group stages.

PSG came out trumps with a 2-0 win and a 1-1 draw, results that, if replicated in the semi-final, would have seen them through.

Mbappe is set to become Real’s highest-paid player when he joins the club in the summer.

That’s despite taking a pay-cut and accepting a lower wage.

He reportedly demanded a minimum of £42.8m-a-season – around £827,000-a-week – during negotiations.
