RONNIE O’SULLIVAN has ramped up his Crucible preparations by hitting a 147 in practice.
The Rocket has yet to decide if he will play at the 2025 World Snooker Championship, which starts a week on Saturday.
However, on a trip to his snooker academy in Saudi Arabia, the seven-time world champion showed he is in good form by compiling a maximum clearance.
Footage of the special feat, which took less than seven minutes to do, has appeared online.
And there were a dozen or so gobsmacked people in the room as it happened, most of them recording the action on their phones.
Last week, O’Sullivan told SunSport he has yet to find a cue that he is happy with as he contemplates his participation at the Crucible, especially as he has pulled out of five ranking events in 2025 on medical grounds.
The Essex potter will make a decision after three practice sessions next week against a pro player.
But given his latest display in the Middle East, it is fair to say he looks in sharp nick – a worrying sign for rivals in Sheffield where he is searching for record No.8 title.
O’Sullivan, 49, holds the record for the most 147s – 15 – hit in professional competitions but the last one came at the 2018 English Open.
