Roy Keane blasted Marcus Rashford during Manchester United’s humbling defeat to Arsenal, saying his ‘general play as a footballer is shocking’.
Ruben Amorim’s side kept Premier League title challengers Arsenal at bay in an uneventful first half at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.
But Arsenal outclassed Manchester United after the break, clinching a 2-0 victory through goals from Jurrien Timber and William Saliba.
Keane was on a live watchalong on The Overlap during the game and described United’s performance as ‘rubbish’.
‘I’ll tell you something, Marcus Rashford’s come on. His general play as a footballer is shocking,’ ex-Old Trafford captain Keane said.
‘Watch his header there. Have United’s subs given anything since coming on? Nothing. The subs have done nothing.
‘Manchester United deserve nothing anyway. They were rubbish. You know what happens with United? They fool you, they fool you. They’re not dynamic.’
