Sacramento Kings Make DeMar DeRozan Announcement Before Warriors Game

On Tuesday night, the Sacramento Kings will play the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco.

The Kings are coming off a 138-109 loss to the LA Clippers (at home).

DeMar DeRozan finished with nine points and one block in ten minutes of playing time.

For Tuesday’s game, the Kings have announced that DeRozan will be questionable.

Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee wrote: “The Kings are listing DeMar DeRozan as questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Warriors due to right hamstring soreness. Steph Curry (right patellofemoral pain syndrome) is probable for Golden State.”

DeRozan is in his second season playing for the Kings.

The former USC star is averaging 18.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 49.7% from the field and 32.0% from three-point range in 77 games.

Real App wrote (on March 26): “DeMar DeRozan is the oldest player in NBA history to record 30+ PTS & 10+ AST with 0 TOV.”

Kings Right Now

Despite a lot of notable players on the roster, the Kings had a very tough 2025-26 season.

They are the 14th seed in the Western Conference with a 21-58 record in 79 games.

On the road, the Kings have gone 7-32 in 39 games.

The Kings last made the NBA playoffs during the 2022 season.

They will go into an interesting offseason due to the veterans on their roster.

DeRozan’s NBA Career

DeRozan was the ninth pick in the 2009 NBA Draft.

He spent the first nine years of his career playing for the Toronto Raptors.

In 2016, DeRozan helped lead the franchise to the Eastern Conference finals.

Following the Raptors, DeRozan had stints with the San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls (and Kings).
