Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford Sends Clear Message on Wife Rumors Before Canelo Fight

Terence Crawford had been in a long-term relationship with girlfriend Alindra Person, but some had speculated that she was the boxer’s wife. Months before the star’s marquee fight against Canelo Alvarez, Crawford took to Instagram in an attempt to set the record straight.

“I hate that now days you have to put s— on social media,” Crawford noted in a June 2025, post to his Instagram Story. “Look I am single so please stop saying I’m married because I (have) never been married or (ask) where my wife at.”

Not only is Crawford not married, but the boxer’s latest comments indicate the star is no longer in a relationship with his long-time girlfriend.

Here’s what you need to know about Crawford, his dating life and kids.

Terence Crawford Has 6 Kids With Longtime Partner Alindra Person & a 7th Child With a Different Woman

Crawford still remains involved in his children’s lives. Person and Crawford are the proud parents of six children.

During a recent interview on the “Club Shay Shay” podcast, Crawford also revealed that he has a seventh child with another woman. When Crawford is not in the ring, the boxing star enjoys the normal duties of being a father.

“Be they self,” Crawford said of his advice to his kids during a May 30, interview with “All the Smoke Fight.” “That’s all my kids. Be a leader, not a follower. You know, I think that’s the best advice that I can give my kids because in today’s society, everybody is copying everybody.

“Everybody want(s) to be, you know, these social media kids and they gravitate to their friends and want to do the things that their friends do. And I just want my kids to be like I was when I was young.”

Terence Crawford on Netflix Fight vs. Canelo Alvarez: ‘It’s Great to Have Those People That Don’t Have Cable To Be Able to Witness a Fight Like This’

Relationships aside, Crawford has remained focused on the massive fight against Alvarez. With the main event being available for free to Netflix subscribers, Crawford believes the visibility will not only help the two boxers but enhance the popularity of the sport as well.

The majority of marquee fights in recent years have been on pay-per-view which can limit the potential viewers.

“It’s (Netflix) very important because if you look at boxing back in the day, boxing was like the No. 1 sport in the U.S. before (the) NBA and NFL took over,” Crawford remarked during a September 10, press conference.

“But the reason why it was because it was on regular TV and more people can take notice of it. You know, when you was looking at all the mega fights back in the days, like Sugar Ray Leonard and now, they was fighting on regular TV,” Crawford added.

“So it’s great to be able to be on Netflix. And it’s great to have those people that don’t have cable to be able to witness a fight like this.”
