The winner of the 2025 Travelers Championship golf tournament will earn $3.6 million as part of a $20 million purse. The tournament is being played at the TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut, from June 18 to June 22.
The Travelers Championship is the eighth and final signature event on the PGA Tour for the 2025 season. The signature events come with a larger prize pool and other perks for the winner and top finishers. The tournament winner will earn 700 FedEx Cup points, compared to the 500 points the top finisher typically earns for PGA Tour events.
Tommy Fleetwood, searching for his first win on the PGA Tour, entered Sunday’s final round in the lead, with former Travelers Championship winner Keegan Bradley also in contention along with Russell Henley and Jason Day. Bradley, a New England native, won the tournament in 2023.
The 2024 tournament was won by Scottie Scheffler, who entered the fourth round of play in 2025 with an outside shot at contending for a second consecutive title in Connecticut. The purse for the 2024 event was the same as 2025, with Scheffler earning $3.6 million out of a $20 million purse.

Tommy Fleetwood Is Searching for His First PGA Tour Victory
Fleetwood told reporters after Saturday’s third round when asked about being one of the top players to have never won on the PGA Tour, ” I don’t know, I’m on top of a lot of stat lines for people that haven’t won on the PGA Tour, so to always to be a No. 1 at something is always nice (laughing). Yeah, of course I would love to win on the PGA Tour. I think it’s like an element of your career that everybody wants, and I of course want it. I haven’t, this year especially I don’t feel like I’ve given myself — I’ve given myself like a back end chance a couple of times this year, but I’ve not been in contention.”
Fleetwood added, “So this is like my first real chance, so I’m really excited about that and looking forward to it. Again, it’s easy to put pressure on yourself, and the longer things go on, the more people talk about it, of course they do. But there’s also things that I’m very proud about as well, like my consistency, where I stand FedExCups and World Rankings and things like that. So there’s a lot to be happy about, but, you know, of course, I’m not going to, you know, be silly and say I don’t care about it, of course I want to win, and hopefully it will happen sooner rather than later.”
Bradley, who will be USA’s Ryder Cup captain later this year, talked about playing well on the PGA Tour while in that role.
“Yeah, pretty strange. I sort of have come to this epiphany sort of that no one has ever experienced what I’m going through right now, Bradley told reporters. “Arnold Palmer did in 1962 I think it was, but for the most part captains are done playing or at the end of their career or playing the Champions Tour. So it’s pretty cool, I’m experiencing something that not a lot of people have.”
The PGA Tour Heads to the Rocket Classic in Detroit Next
The PGA Tour will head to Detroit, Michigan, next weekend for the Rocket Classic. The tournament will have a prize pool of $9.6 million. After the Rocket Classic, the Tour heads to the John Deere Classic in Illinois.
The Scottish Open will be played on July 10, a week before The Open Championship, the fourth and final major of the 2025 season, which will be played July 17 to July 20 at Dunluce Course in Northern Ireland.
