Vikings Can’t Stop Getting Good News Ahead of Week 12

The Vikings have received a couple pieces of good news about their Week 12 matchup with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

It’s not just that Ryan Kelly will likely be back. Nor the fact that this would be the first time all season that Minnesota’s offensive line is fully healthy.

The Vikings are getting good news off of the Packers injury report. For the cheeseheads, it’s a bit of a doozy.

The Packers’ are banged up, to put it lightly. They have two players already ruled out, as well as six questionable statuses and one doubtful.

Here’s a look at those players per the team’s official injury report on Friday:

  • WR Jayden Reed (Out – foot/shoulder)
  • CB Nate Hobbs (Out – knee)
  • DL Karl Brooks (Questionable – ankle)
  • WR Matthew Golden (Questionable – shoulder/wrist)
  • RB Josh Jacobs (Questionable – knee)
  • DL Lukas Van Ness (Questionable – foot)
  • WR Dontayvion Wicks (Questionable – calf)
  • WR Savion Williams (Questionable – foot)
  • LB Quay Walker (Doubtful – neck)

Not including these names, Green Bay had 11 other injury designations during the week that will be good to go. Some of the names include:

  • QB Jordan Love (left shoulder – full participant in practice all week)
  • DL Micah Parsons (pectoral – limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday, full on Friday)
  • WR Christian Watson (knee – limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday, full on Friday)
  • LB Edgerrin Cooper (foot – limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday, full on Friday)
  • OL Zach Tom (back – limited participant in practice all week)
  • CB Keisean Nixon (illness – limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday, full on Friday)

There is another thing here that is important to note for the Minnesota Vikings. The Packers play again on Thursday in a Thanksgiving game against the Detroit Lions.

Luckily for the Vikings, Green Bay may want to play it safe with some of their talent and allow them to rest up for the nationally broadcasted NFC North showdown on turkey day.

Vikings Looking Mostly Healthy in Week 12

The Vikings have one of their cleanest injury reports of the entire 2025 season to this point this week for the Green Bay Packers game.

As of their final injury report submitted by the team on Friday, only two players are questionable to be available come gametime. Edge rusher Jonathan Greenard (shoulder) and center Ryan Kelly (concussion) are those players.

Kelly is more likely to play, seeing as the Vikings waived young corner Dwight McGlothern to make room on the active roster. This move resulted in the Vikings only having three active cornerbacks on the main roster.

It’s hard to believe a team would activate a guy if they weren’t sure he was going to play to be so thin at one position like they are now even more so at corner.
