Warriors’ Draymond Green Drops Telling Update About Steph Curry

The Golden State Warriors have suffered through a long season full of injury problems. At this point in the year with the postseason coming up quickly, they hold a 36-40 record and appear destined to be the final seed in the NBA Play-In Tournament.

Early on in the year, the Warriors suffered their first major setback. Jimmy Butler went out for the year due to a torn ACL. That injury alone crippled their chances of making an NBA Finals run.

Lately, Golden State has been forced to play without superstar point guard Steph Curry. He has been out of game action since January 30 due to a knee injury. Curry has been hoping to return at some point before the Play-In Tournament.

New reports have suggested that Curry is hoping to make his return to the court on Sunday against the Houston Rockets.

With that being said, there is still doubt about Curry’s status. Draymond Green has now weighed in on the superstar point guard and what fans should expect.

Warriors Star Draymond Green Speaks Out About Steph Curry

During a segment of the “Draymond Green Show,” Green offered his own telling update about Curry’s status as he works to return to the court.

“There’s a lot of fear growing that Steph [Curry] might not have enough runway for the play-in game,” Green said. “I don’t think Steph’s getting shut down for the season… If Steph is capable of playing, he’s gonna play.”

Curry isn’t one to sit out if he’s able to play. Even with how tough the season has been on the injury front, the Warriors could be a threat in the Western Conference playoff picture with a healthy Curry.

Only time will tell when Curry actually makes his return to the court. After that, Golden State will simply be hoping that he doesn’t have any setbacks and is able to head into the Play-In Tournament at full health.

What Has Steph Curry Done So Far This Season?

Before the injury occurred, Curry played in 39 games for the Warriors. He averaged 27.2 points per game to go along with 4.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.1 steals, while shooting 46.8 percent from the floor and 39.1 percent from three-point range.

When healthy, Curry is still one of the best scorers and shooters in the NBA.

At 38 years old, Curry’s career is beginning to wind down. He doesn’t have time to sit out if he’s capable of playing. Even as currently constructed, Golden State could be sleeper team to watch.

Curry, Green, Kristaps Porzingis, and the rest of the Warriors’ roster are good enough to win. Hopefully, he is able to get back on the court and lead Golden State through the Play-In Tournament and into the playoffs.
