West Ham vs Liverpool preview
After being on for a quadruple in Jurgen Klopp’s final season, it now looks like their Carabao Cup win will be Liverpool’s only trophy this term.
Klopp’s final Merseyside derby was a disaster in midweek, going down 2-0 an Everton side who simply wanted it more on the night.
It leaves them three points off Arsenal and two behind City, with Pep Guardiola’s men also having played a game less.
Only the die-hard will consider themselves still in a title race but it’s difficult to see them accumulating more points than their two rivals at the moment.
But they do go to a Hammers side with only one win from their last eight games and coming off the back of a thumping defeat at Crystal Palace last time out.
Their European ambitions for next season have taken a dent in that spell and – like Liverpool – their current European run also was ended.
Liverpool have won this fixture the last five times they’ve played it and are warm favourites to continue that run.
