A 16-year-old boy and 34-year-old woman were shot in the South Shore Sunday morning, Chicago police said.
The two were standing outside around 10 a.m. in the 6700 block of South Cregier Avenue when an unknown vehicle pulled up and someone inside the car opened fire. The boy was shot three times and the woman was shot twice in the leg, according to police.
They were both taken to University of Chicago Medical Center where the boy is in critical condition and the woman is in fair custody. No one is in custody, police said.
