Charlotte Chilton thanked fans for their support as she spoke directly about Conor Maynard’s paternity test results for the first time.
The Traitors star spent several months claiming the music artist was the father of her baby after the pair were introduced at the Traitors wrap party last January through mutual friend Harry Clark.
Conor maintained his silence throughout 2024, including when Charlotte gave birth to her daughter Penelope in October last year.
However, in March he finally addressed the ongoing speculation in a social media statement announcing that a paternity test taken under the supervision of legal representation confirmed he was not the father of Charlotte’s baby.
Up until now, Charlotte has continued to post photos of family life with her young daughter – but not offered any direct response to Conor’s bombshell statement until now.
In an Instagram story, she wrote: ‘A lot of people want me to address the comments regarding Conor. There will be a time and a place for this.
‘Unfortunately I am not allowed to do this right now… Just know I love all the support I have received and I appreciate all the love we continuously have been receiving !!
‘Love Charlotte and Penelope xxx.’

It implies that she may reveal more in the future, although it is unclear when and how much.
In Conor’s denial that he was the father, he wrote: ‘I am glad that the speculation can finally be put to an end.
‘All I would ask is that people act with kindness in response to this news – there is a child at the heart of all of this, and that should not be forgotten.
‘I wish Charlotte and her family all the best.’
But sources close to Charlotte said she was ‘still convinced’ she was the father of his baby.
‘Charlotte has always been adamant about who Penelope’s father is and her daughter is the spitting image of Conor,’ a source told The Sun.
The insider added that she was ‘bitterly disappointed’ and reportedly looking into ensuring Conor ‘takes a second test’.
Conor’s representatives issued a firm denial following claims of a second test on the horizon.
Representatives told MailOnline: ‘It is very difficult to understand how the location of the paternity test would have changed the results.
‘To be clear, this test was conducted by a registered nurse in the presence of Charlotte’s legal representative.
‘The results have clearly drawn a line under the matter, and we can only hope that Charlotte can find a way to move forward.’
Shortly after, Conor uploaded a photo of him moving into a new home with his partner.
‘‘On to a new chapter.. (the photo was taken on a grey, miserable day so I edited the sky.. I wanted to use the second slide but Kitty wouldn’t let me),’ he captioned the post, sharing a photo with his girlfriend in the driveway of the property he had just purchased.

January 26, 2024: Charlotte and Conor are introduced to each other through mutual friend, The Traitors co-star Harry Clarke, at the season two wrap party.
April 24: Charlotte announces she is pregnant with a ‘miracle’ baby on social media but does not reveal who the father is. At the time she called the news ‘a shock to say the least’.
June 5: Charlotte reveals to Metro that Conor is the father of her baby. Conor does not address these reports publicly.
June 22: In an interview with The Sun, Charlotte claimed Conor has ‘turned on her’ upon hearing she was pregnant.
August: Charlotte is hospitalised after suffering from a ‘painful and debilitating’ condition as she shares her difficult pregnancy experience to her followers. She maintains that Conor is the father of her baby.
October 18: Her daughter, Penelope, is born. Days later, Conor posts to social media but does not address this latest development.
November 24: Charlotte says she has still ‘not heard anything’ and claimed that Penelope like ‘identical’ to him. She added that she ‘wouldn’t deny [Conor] contact if Penelope wants to see him’ in the future.
March 14, 2025:Conor finally releases a statement that a paternity test with legal representative present proved he is not the father of this baby. He wished Charlotte and Penelope the best with hopes of ‘putting speculation to rest’.
March 19: Charlotte is yet to directly address Conor’s statement, and has only posted one photo to social media of her daughter. A source told The Sun that Charlotte is questioning the accuracy of the results and wants to ensure Conor takes another test.
‘It’s been an exhausting fight between them,’ the source added.
The same day Conor posts to Instagram about starting ‘a new chapter’ with his partner Kitty as they move into a new home together.
After Penelope was born, Charlotte doubled down on Conor being her father, and slammed his absence.
‘There’s been days where I’ve been in tears because I’m sitting here thinking, “I’ve got a daughter that looks f*****g identical to you.”,’ she told OK! Magazine at the time.
‘She’s got his eyes, his hair, his facial expressions,’ she continued, adding that she was prepared to ‘do this alone’.
In her post announcing Penelope’s birth she wrote: ‘Princess Penelope has arrived and we have been enjoying our “Penelope bubble” so much, I am going to be off the radar for a little longer, whilst I enjoy these magical moments with my precious girl!!
