Peter Andre’s eldest son, Junior Andre, had us all doing a double take this week as he was mistaken for his famous dad.

Junior, 18, celebrated becoming an older brother for the fourth time earlier this month after his dad Peter, 51 and stepmum Emily, 34, welcomed a baby girl into their brood.

Peter, now a father of five, shares Junior and 16-year-old Princess with his ex-wife Katie Price. With Emily, he also has daughter Amelia, 10, and son Theo, seven, as well as his newborn, as yet unnamed, daughter.

Now in his late teens, Junior is looking more and more like his dad, as proved when he rocked up on the red carpet for the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes premiere at BFI Imax on Thursday.

The budding singer was dressed in an all-black and white ensemble for the event, and even sported a moustache and some stubble. How very Pete of him.

The outfit was topped off with a leather-sleeved bomber jacket and a pair of gleaming white trainers.

Peter recently opened up about his ‘strict’ parenting approach with Junior which left his son feeling ‘disappointed’.

‘I always say how being a parent is first and foremost the job. That’s a given,’ the Flava hitmaker told GB News. ‘But also, being a friend is important as it means they can open up to you and they can talk to you.’

He went onto note that ‘Junior, my eldest, is a bit disappointed in my parenting because I was so strict with him and then with the other two. But I’m not as strict now.’

In fact, the two seem closer than ever. In September last year Junior dropped his single, Only One, which was enthusiastically shared by his singer-songwriter father.

‘When I was 15, I knew [music] was what I wanted to do,’ Junior said on Loose Women at the time. ‘Ever since I said that my whole family has backed me all the way.’ He went onto say his dad advised him to ‘just be yourself’.

In February, the pair shared topless images from a workout in which Junior praised his father’s physical fitness.

‘Trying to look like you when I’m 51 Dad’ he shared on his Instagram story. And he is well on his way to making that dream come true.

Earlier this month, Peter praised his ‘beautiful children’ Junior and Princess for travelling to Australia to visit their grandmother who had a sudden decline in health.

‘I will never forget this moment. Thank you for being truly amazing,’ he penned.

Junior was not the only familiar face who attended the London premiere for the highly-anticipated Planet of the Apes sequel.

Also glammed up for the carpet was former Planet of the Apes star Andy Serkis, 60, alongside the glitzy new lead cast Freya Allan, 22, Owen Teague, 25, and Kevin Durand, 50.

Andy showed up in an eye-catching blue patterned jacket, Owen sported a checked blazer suit and Kevin polished off with a simple grey suit. Meanwhile, Freya stunned in a sparkly plunging bodysuit paired with a black blazer.

The new film is set centuries after 2017’s War of the Planet of the Apes and follows a young ape as they embark on a journey of discovery.

In an interview with Screen Rant director Wes Ball said about the film: ‘It feels like a new chapter, a new page in this long awesome legacy of movies’.
