
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Westminster city employee driving a city-owned truck after they ran into traffic Friday night, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
The crash happened in the 9400 block of North Sheridan Boulevard at 5:28 p.m. when a city worker driving a Ford F250 northbound hit a pedestrian. The pedestrian died at the scene.
Witnesses told investigators the pedestrian ran into traffic, the state patrol said in a news release. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and the pedestrian’s name will be released by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.
