After Fox News parted ways with its longtime host Maria Bartiromo, President Trump’s senior trade advisor Peter Navarro wrote an op-ed for The Washington Times titled ‘Fox News Muzzles Maria Bartiromo, MAGA Is Next.’
Navarro amplified his writing on social media and added: “The muzzling of Maria Bartiromo by Fox News Media Chief Executive Suzanne Scott should be a wake-up call to every Fox viewer who believes the network is pro-Trump and pro-MAGA.”

According to Navarro, the day after President Trump’s prime-time July 16 address to the nation, in which Trump accused China of interfering in the 2020 U.S. presidential election, Bartiromo booked Navarro on her show (Mornings with Maria) to discuss the speech.
According to Navarro’s telling, Bartiromo received a text from one of her producers which read, “Hi – We don’t want to promote it or push to the speech at all. We don’t want to do 2020 election segments at all Thurs or Friday.”

That report said China considered — but did not deploy — influence efforts intended to change the outcome of the election. The experts stated that they had high confidence in their conclusion.”]
When Bartiromo was let go this week, Navarro wrote: “What is left at Fox is a lineup of chickens, nobody willing to stick a neck out the way Ms. Bartiromo did. You will not see a solidarity walkout at Fox for her. It damn well should happen. It won’t.”
He added, “It is Fox’s producers who decide which stories air and which get kicked to the curb. MAGA stories spend a lot of time in the Fox gutter.”
Navarro also suggested that Fox News watchers change the channel: “Fox viewers have a choice every time they turn on the television. Newsmax and Real America’s Voice both come to mind.”
