Well now, Giorgio Barone, who was Ronaldo’s live-in chef and worked with <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/celebrity-athletes/?swcfpc=1″>the athlete</a> from 2018 to 2021 is sharing some tips about that. Not only did Barone cook all of CR7’s meals, but he chose the best ingredients to maintain a strict diet and ensure peak performance.</p>
<p id=”par-2_44″>Now, the Italian personal chef is revealing the simple, everyday diet habits behind Ronaldo’s world-class fitness and how they can be realistically adopted at home. First, he explained that fiber, vegetables, and vitamin supplements are key to eating as healthily as possible like Ronaldo. </p>
<p id=”par-3_63″>Speaking on behalf of <a href=”https://www.covers.com/soccer” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Covers.com</a>, Barone told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “Everything was organic and simple. Vegetables, chicken, rice, not white rice though. Either black rice or red rice because they contain less starch than normal, and avocado and red fruits. He doesn’t eat junk food. Never. Not even on holiday. No sugar. Not even in coffee. Sugar is a poison for our body.</p>

<p id=”par-4_45″>“Begin with a savory breakfast. Eliminate all sugar. Eggs, avocado, wholemeal bread, coffee and lots of water. Cut out sugar across all meals. Sometimes you can allow yourself some pork but not often because it’s very fatty. You can eat it once a week though.”</p>
<p id=”par-5_77″>Barone added, “Fiber is very important. It is one of those foods that must always be integrated into the diet on a daily basis like many other things, like vitamins. A good diet must always be combined with vitamins pills taken at meal times. For example, vitamin D is one of the most important vitamins. Half an hour of sunlight a day gives you vitamin D. Vegetables are rich in fiber. I never prepare meals without vegetables.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_58″>The chef also has a very specific stance on milk, explaining, “No milk. Humans are the only animals that drink the milk of other animals. No other animal drinks milk after three months. Calves don’t drink milk after the age of three months. Animals don’t drink the milk of other animals. It does not exist in nature. </p>

<p id=”par-7_53″>“Only human beings continue to drink milk up to 30, 40, 50, 60 years and in my view it is wrong … After infancy it is not normal. It is against nature. I drink coffee with no milk or sugar. Very bitter! But you can add almond milk, oat milk or rice milk.”</p>
<p id=”par-8_67″>Finally, Barone’s rule of thumb is “I always say the importance is 60% diet and 40% training. The human body is like a car. You can have the best car in the world but if you put the wrong fuel in the engine it is going to struggle … I’ve worked with Spanish players, Argentineans and Brazilians who are used to eating barbecue, churrasco and asado. </p>
<p id=”par-9_62″>“I’ve always tried to approach them in a healthy way, with simple meat on a brazier, without adding too much fat. I have tried to limit the amount of meat, even though it’s delicious. But with everything it is very important the way you cook it. In Italy we use a lot of sauces on our meals. It’s not very healthy, let’s say.”</p>
