A legendary child from Supernanny has now appeared on the reality show Celebs Go Dating, and shocked fans in the process.
You might remember Meghann Cooke for her iconic lines on the noughties show, that have been turned into memes and continue to circulate online.
During a 2005 episode of Jo Frost’s behaviour series, 9-year-old Meghann has it out with the parenting expert, pulling her up on her pronunciation of the word ‘unacceptable’.
Over 20 years later, Meghann has featured on the latest season of Channel 4’s Celebs Go Dating.
In the new instalment, former rugby union player James Haskell, 41, is looking for love and winds up on a date with the Supernanny star.
Meghann, who was nine when she was seen at loggerheads with Jo, reveals to James that her family were on the memorable show – to which he responds: ‘How bad were you?’
Looking tight-lipped at first, Meghann replies: ‘Erm, it’s quite a well-known episode.’
After he asked the question again, she opens up: ‘I bit her, I hit her, I called her a b***h.’
James looks momentarily shocked, before asking: ‘So you were an ill-disciplined little nightmare?’
Meghann defends her former self by disagreeing and arguing she was just ‘challenging’.
The clip has gone viral on Instagram, with 3million views and over 1,000 comments – including one from Supernanny herself. Jo wrote: ‘She was a beautiful child who could be challenging in her own right to her parents, as she was very smart and that was challenging for her father especially as he lacked patience to meet her where [she] needed him too.’
The 55-year-old went on: ‘HOWEVER she was also a child who was incredibly sensitive and one who was caught between a volatile relationship her parents were in. She took the emotional impact for her sisters and protected them a lot too from the environment that was far from peaceful.
‘She was fascinated by my crew and didn’t really realise the full deeper extent of why I was there because she was too young, so I believe I felt like a threat.
‘But her mother, may she rest in peace, loved her girls and wanted them to springboard from the show into some kind of entertainment so no surprise seeing Meghann on here and no doubt is looking over them proud. It is lovely to see Meghann a grown woman. Xx ❤️’
The heartfelt message from Jo has received over 13,000 likes, and was praised by many on the app.
