Piers Morgan has hit back at Arsenal supporters who were upset with his presence on the pitch during the club’s Premier League title celebrations on Sunday.
Mikel Arteta’s side lifted the Premier League trophy in front of 3,000 travelling fans after their 2-1 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Several celebrity Arsenal supporters were spotted at Selhurst Park including Eastenders star Jake Wood, comedian Jack Whitehall and Line of Duty actor Adrian Dunbar.
Morgan and his sons Bertie, Stanley and Spencer were also in attendance for Arsenal’s final game of the Premier League season, and they were able to get on the pitch to celebrate and pose for photos with Arsenal’s players and Arteta.

A section of Arsenal fans have been angered by Morgan’s involvement in the Premier League title celebrations, particularly as the broadcaster called for the club to sack Arteta in 2022.
But Morgan has revealed that he paid for Crystal Palace hospitality tickets in March, which allowed him access to the celebrations on the pitch after the game had ended.
One Arsenal fan wrote on X: ‘Why was Piers Morgan & his clan on the pitch at Selhurst [Park]? Nowt worse than celebrity fans muscling in on things. Especially one who called for Arteta’s head on several occasions in the early years.’
Morgan responded: ‘Maybe because I had the foresight to buy 4 tickets at the start of March when I had a feeling it might be a momentous day for the club I’ve supported for 55 years. As for Arteta, he proved me and a lot of people wrong, and I couldn’t be happier about it.’
In a separate post, Morgan added: ‘To clarify, on March 4, I paid full price (£750 + VAT each) for 4 tickets to Palace’s very nice 2010 Club hospitality suite. Then we got invited into the boardroom, and offered the chance to go pitch-side for the trophy-lift. We feel very lucky. Thanks @CPFC.’
In a response to another Arsenal fan, Morgan wrote: ‘The tickets I bought were available to anyone and I paid full price. And I pay full price for 4 season tickets, go to every Arsenal game when I am in England, and watch every Arsenal game when abroad. That qualify me as a proper fan?’
Following the celebrations, Morgan was also seen having a drink with Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke.
