“Rock the Block” season 7 viewers were left in disbelief when HGTV‘s Drew and Jonathan Scott crowned the winners of the beloved competition series.

“Why the Heck Did I Buy This House?” star Kim Wolfe and former “Survivor” winner Chelsea Meissner took home the grand prize! While many fans voiced their shock online — they weren’t the only ones.

Kim and Chelsea React to ‘Rock the Block’ Win

After their big win, Kim and Chelsea shared their unfiltered reaction to the news in an interview with HGTV.

“We had put it into our heads, maybe just to protect our hearts, that we didn’t stand a chance of winning,” Chelsea told the outlet in an interview. “When our names lit up the sky, I was just in complete shock. I buried my head in Kim’s boobs!”

“I was also 100 percent shocked,” Kim agreed.

She added, “Honestly, the prevailing feeling I’ll remember was just how peaceful it felt when you realize you were in the right place at the right time with the right people, doing the right thing. Then, to have that validated, it just felt really cool and special.”

“I was on board as soon as we got back home,” Kim said.

“Absolutely. “Swampy Sexy” for the win!” her partner agreed.

Throughout the season, each home was blind judged — meaning that the competitors did not walk through their homes as they were being judged — which Kim admitted was for the best.

“One of the things I know about myself is that I don’t take feedback well, so I think I would have gotten defensive in person, and that probably would not have been agreeable to the judges,” she told HGTV. “I don’t know that it wouldn’t have done us any favors for me to be there!”

Scott McGillivray Reacts

In addition to Kim and Chelsea, season 7 saw Scott McGillivray paired with former reality star Brooke Hogan. The pair’s chemistry caused quite a stir throughout the series. However, they put their best foot forward and won many challenges.

Following their loss, McGillivray took to social media to share his unfiltered reaction.

“I wanted to have a candid conversation about some of the things going on right now. There’s been a lot of feedback, and I appreciate that,” he said in a video shared to Instagram. But I wanted to address three of the things that everybody seems to be talking about. One of those things is the outcome of ‘Rock the Block.’”

He continued, “How do you feel about the winning announcement? And the biggest, most controversial part being that I didn’t win.”

McGillivray went on to list each of the challenges that he and Hogan won.

“We won the primary bedroom. We won the main bathroom. We won the walk-in closet challenge. We won the kitchen and the morning room,” he said. “These are the biggest, most value-add spaces in the house. We won all of those, but we didn’t win the entire overall appraisal value.”

Despite the loss, the “Renovation Resort” star praised his partner as “super talented, really funny, and friendly.”
