Mickey Rourke steps out dishevelled and missing teeth after facing financial trouble

Mickey Rourke has emerged in the outside world looking worse for wear, just months after he was evicted for over $60,000 (£45.3k) in unpaid rent.

The Celebrity Big Brother star, 73, has clearly been facing the toll of his financial woes in recent weeks after stepping out on the streets of Los Angeles, notably missing several teeth.

His hollow gape was paired with a stained, drab grey hoodie, some precariously placed sunglasses slid over the fleece, and ripped, faded jeans as he took his small white dog, and two black ones, out for a gander.

The rundown nature of his appearance matches the monetary troubles he’s been navigating of late after he was kicked out of his rental property for failing to pay tens of thousands of dollars worth of rent.

He claimed to the Mail in a statement that he ‘stopped paying rent because the living conditions in the house had become unacceptable.’ 

Meanwhile, court documents from the Los Angeles County Superior Court in March show that landlord Eric T. Goldie secured the ruling for Rourke to vacate the property after the actor did not answer the eviction filing within the timeframe required under California law.

Around the same time, the Rumble Fish star also had to reject a ‘humiliating’ crowdfunding donation from fans, which was set up by his manager Kimberley Hines to avoid homelessness.

He made clear that the fundraiser did not reflect his wishes and said he had no prior knowledge of it.

All these weeks later, the troubled star looked unrecognisable as he traversed the roads – something fans will be used to since he has undergone several transformations over the years due to his boxing career in the 90s.

After extensive plastic surgery, he told The Daily Mail in 2009: ‘Most of it was to mend the mess of my face because of the boxing, but I went to the wrong guy to put my face back together. I had my nose broken twice.

‘I had five operations on my nose and one on a smashed cheekbone.’

Meanwhile, his ex-wife Debra Feuer claimed to The Mirror he had also dabbled in cosmetic surgery.

She said: ‘He’ll kill me for saying this, but he wanted the part in one film so badly that he got cheek implants,’ she told The Mirror.

‘He told me he was swollen because he’d had his molar teeth removed. But I knew that was untrue – he didn’t have any molars to take out.’

The actor first rose to fame in the 1980s in movies like Diner and Angel Heart before making a career switch to boxing for a short time. He then returned to the big screen, landing himself an Oscar nomination for the 2008 movie, The Wrestler.

He re-entered the spotlight last year after a controversial appearance on Celebrity Big Brother, where he was eventually forcibly removed due to offensive comments to various housemates.
