Sony has announced a limited edition PS5 console and controller based on Marvel’s Wolverine, including an Adamantium version.
While the PlayStation 5 has been disappointing when it comes to games which actually take advantage of the hardware, Sony has been prolific with special edition console accessories.
We’ve had console covers to celebrate PlayStation’s 30th anniversary, along with DualSense controllers themed around Astro Bot, Marathon, Ghost Of Yotei, God Of War, and 007 First Light.
With another PlayStation 5 exclusive around the corner in Marvel’s Wolverine, Sony has announced another batch of console accessories to celebrate its launch.
The accessories include console covers inspired by the game, with a slashed-up design in either yellow or silver (labelled Adamantium here, the fictional metal in Wolverine’s claws). These have been designed by Jock, a Scottish graphic artist who created the game’s key art.
The more appealing part of the package is the DualSense controller, which shares a similar design without the awkward Wolverine head yelling in the corner. If you’re boring, this has an Adamantium version too, which doesn’t pop quite as much as the yellow.

You can get these accessories, along with a digital copy of the game, in a console bundle titled (breathe in) PS5 Digital Edition – Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Edition Bundle. This is priced at £569.99.
If you just want the yellow cover for your existing PlayStation 5 console (standard, digital or PS5 Pro), you can buy it for £64.99. The Adamantium cover is the same price but only available for PS5 Pro consoles. The DualSense controller, meanwhile, will set you back £74.99.
Speaking about the accessories on the PlayStation blog, Jock said: ‘I wanted to show Wolverine at his fiercest for Marvel’s Wolverine Limited PS5 Console bundle and accessories. I still draw all my artwork traditionally, so the opportunity to marry cutting-edge hardware with the energy and looseness of hand-drawn ink is incredibly exciting.
‘I’m stunned by how well the console and accessories captured the raw energy of the drawing, bringing Wolverine to life in a completely unique way.’
You’ll be able to pre-order these accessories from August 19 at 10am UK time from the PlayStation Direct store.
Marvel’s Wolverine is set to launch on PlayStation 5 on September 15, a month which is incredibly stacked with new games between Onimusha: Way Of The Sword, Silent Hill: Townfall, and Control Resonant.
