A man and woman were fatally shot Monday evening near a gas station in Armour Square, according to Chicago police.
The man, 25, and woman, 22, were exiting a business in the 200 block of West Pershing Road just before 6:30 p.m. when three people in a silver Nissan car approached them, took out firearms and began shooting, police said in a statement.
The man suffered 12 gunshot wounds and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
The woman suffered six gunshot wounds and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The shooters got back in the car and were last seen driving eastbound, police said. No arrests were reported.
