Liam Gallagher has given the biggest indication so far that there maybe more Oasis shows in store, after seemingly suggesting he’s waiting on his brother Noel Gallagher to share the official announcement.
As fans continue to press the frontman of the legendary Britpop band for an official confirmation of the hoped-for 2027 dates, he wrote on X on Monday morning: ‘Ffs RKID announce the tour we’re all losing our minds.’
After their sold-out Oasis Live ’25 reunion tour last year, their first in 16 years, rumours have been rife and Liam has been hinting at playing more shows.
Promoters behind the run were also recently granted a licence to host gigs at Knebworth.
According to BBC News, North Hertfordshire Council approved the application from SJM Concerts with immediate effect.
SJM is allowed to host shows for 125,000 people and the events can go on until the early hours.
It has yet to be confirmed what event or artist the licence is for, but rumours suggest Oasis are eyeing a return to Knebworth – the site of their two huge concerts in 1996 – for a record-breaking six shows.
There’s also reports of a 12-night residency in their home city of Manchester at the Etihad Stadium.
A source previously told The Sun: ‘Oasis’ schedule is booked. It’s 12 nights at the Etihad over six weeks starting in June.
‘They will then play Knebworth six times over a three-week period in September. Dates could be added but for now that’s the master plan.’
However, despite being bookies’ favourites, Liam has claimed the Wonderwall hitmakers are not headlining Glastonbury next year.
He told one fan in an expletive-filled response: ‘It’s not happening. So all you croc wearing, flag waving, s**t c****s can calm the f**k down. (sic)’
Liam also boasted: ‘If we do any more gigs we’re gonna lick it up to ras. (sic)’
Oasis have headlined Glastonbury twice before, in 1995 and 2004, but this isn’t the first time Liam has poured cold water on rumours of their return.
Last year he responded to another post on X asking if they could headline the Pyramid Stage again, commenting: ‘Hope not.’
He later added: ‘I like the other stages and the tents, but the main stage is like playing to a load of jamboree teachers.
‘It’s a load of divs dressed in Ty die (sic) clothes banging clogs and blowing up balloons all with psycho smiles and crusty eyes and red wine mouths.’
Brother Noel also criticised the Somerset-set festival for ‘virtue-signalling’, claiming it was ‘getting a bit woke now, that place, and a bit kind of preachy’ on a podcast earlier this year.
He also played at Worthy Farm in 2022 with his band Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.
Next month a documentary following the brothers on their Live 25 Tour will be released, premiering at the prestigious Venice Film Festival – with the brothers set to attend.
Titled Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger, it follows the Gallaghers across the tour that began in Cardiff in July last year.
It’s coming to cinemas on September 9 and also on Disney Plus, with the streaming service saying it will highlight the ‘triumphant reunion tour’ from rehearsals to backstage and onstage.
It will also include the first joint interviews with Noel and Liam in over 20 years.

The Oasis reunion tour was announced in August 2024, 15 years after the brothers’ dramatic split in 2009, which was prompted by a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in France.
The band have had eight number one singles and albums each in the UK charts, with Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova and Some Might Say among their best-known hits.
