A woman is recovering a a hospital after being shot in the leg early Friday in the Roseland neighborhood.
The woman, 67, noticed two people near a parked car around 5:45 a.m. in the 9300 block of South Stewart Avenue and approached them when they opened fire and struck her in the leg, Chicago police said.
She was taken to the Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where her condition was stabilized, police said.
Area 2 detectives were investigating.
