Adam Peaty has reportedly upset his pregnant sister Bethany after ‘ignoring’ her message telling him she is expecting a little girl.

The Olympic champion, 31, who is expecting a child with wife Holly Ramsay-Peaty, has been caught in a row between him and his family since their wedding last year.

Several of his family members skipped the ceremony, including his mum, but his sister Bethany was by the couple’s side as a bridesmaid.

However, things have soured since the December ceremony and it appears Adam and Bethany are no longer speaking.

According to the Daily Mail, she sent him a text two weeks ago sharing the good news that she was going to have a baby girl just like Holly, 26.

Insiders claimed Bethany, 32, hasn’t heard from Adam in nearly three months but sent the WhatsApp as an olive branch, only to be ghosted.

Sources have said she is ‘deeply hurt’ by the silent treatment and sees this as the ‘final straw’.

’Adam read the message but has chosen to ignore it,’ the insider claimed. ‘It is upsetting. Beth was super close with her brother, but she feels used and has had enough.’

Bethany went on to remove and unfollow both Adam and Holly on social media as she gives up on playing peacemaker.

‘Beth is tired and drained from her pregnancy. A relationship with anyone needs to work both ways, but it has been one-sided,’ they added.

She had previously congratulated the couple publicly on their pregnancy announcement in June, saying she ‘cannot wait’ to meet their little one.

Adam’s family claim the swimmer has leaned into the ‘celebrity lifestyle’ since marrying Holly, who is the daughter of chef Gordon Ramsay.

His mum Caroline claimed that the couple had ‘cut my heart out’ after she was excluded from the wedding.

Adam has rarely spoken out about his family feud but did admit the fallout had ‘taken its toll’ during his Commonwealth Games preparations.

So far, it seems any reconciliation is a long way off, but the Olympian did give a glimmer of hope that down the line there could be forgiveness.

He told the Guardian, ‘There has to be forgiveness. It doesn’t mean you have to forget, but forgiveness takes time.

‘I’m not saying that it won’t get better but it has to come from a place where I feel like they’ve improved as people, in a sense, and opened that communication up.’

Looking ahead, he has already set his sights on the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028, saying he would have to ‘forget the experience I’ve had this week [at the Commonwealth] in my personal situation and learn from it very quickly.’

Gordon and the Ramsay family have shared their support for the couple previously, with the chef denying ‘bullying’ accusations from the Peatys.

‘I’m certainly not a bully,’ Ramsay told The Sun in February. ‘[It’s] so appalling to even suggest there was any bullying. That’s absolute nonsense.

Both families were said to be in attendance at the couple’s engagement party in December 2024, which was filmed as part of the Ramsay documentary.

Metro has reached out to Adam’s reps for comment.
