Former Celebrity Big Brother star Ben Adams has become a father for the second time.

The 42-year-old boyband heartthrob – who rose to fame as one quarter of A1 in 1998 – has welcomed his second child with wife Sara Skjoldnes and revealed the unique name they’ve chosen for his baby boy.

Ben wrote on Instagram: ‘Here he is! Storm Skjoldnes Adams born on 23/04/24 at 13.17 weighing 9 pounds/4.1 kilos. BIRTH IS NO JOKE!

‘Tears, sweat, exhaustion, bravery… but thankfully I managed to get through it and am recovering well. Thanks for asking (@saraskjoldnes_adams did ok too). Let’s go home!’

Ben and Sara already have daughter Skylar together, who was born in September 2021.

Fans and friends have flooded his post with well wishes, as well as Eurovision icons Subwoolfer, who famously represented Norway in 2022 with Give That Wolf A Banana.

Keeping things very on brand, the masked duo – which is all but confirmed to include Ben and Norwegian singer Gaute Ormåsen – quipped: ‘Less banana looking than we had hoped but congrats all the same. Love Keith, Jim and Astro 🐺 🍌’

Fan @katkat0793 wrote: ‘Aww 🥰 huge congratulations to both of you 🥳 Storm is totally gorgeous 😍’

‘Awww, so sweet🥺😍Congratulations Ben, Sara, Skye and little Storm♥️🥰,’ said @marieormaasen, while @dionne_edwards added: ‘Aww how gorgeous 💙 congratulations 💙 the first a1 baby boy 💙 xx’

As a member of A1 – along with Paul Marazzi, Christian Ingebrigtsen and Mark Read – Ben stormed the charts with hits like Same Old Brand New You, and the group’s own rendition of a-ha’s classic Take On Me.

Paul quit due to ‘personal reasons’ in 2002, and the band went their separate ways with Ben going onto appear in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

He appeared in the 2009 series on Channel 4, and finished in fifth place behind Verne Troyer, Cooli, Terry Christian and that year’s winner Ulrika Johnsson.
Other housemates for that series included La Toya Jackson, Michelle Heaton, Tina Malone, Lucy Pinder and more.

A1 got back together not long after his CBB stint, with Paul coming back into the fold in 2017, and the group have continued to work on music ever since, while heading on the road last year for a bumper 25th anniversary tour.
