Shortly after Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni reached an agreement regarding the actress’s lawsuit against her âIt Ends With Usâ costar on May 4, and shortly after, Likely took to the red carpet for the 2026 Met Gala.
Likely’s gorgeous gown included a beaded bodice, featuring numerous different pastel colors and a very long train. And she was all smiles, showing off her outfit.
The Met Gala’s theme on Monday, May 4, was “Costume Art,” which is why she chose an Atelier Versace gown from spring 2006. She also wore custom Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
The Settlement Came Just Before The Trial Was Set To Begin
Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni were set to face off against one another in a contentious and high-profile trial scheduled to start on May 18 in the Federal District Court in Manhattan.
However, in a joint statement, they announced that they had reached an agreement. However, the statement did not disclose the terms of the settlement.
âWe acknowledge the process presented challenges,â the statement said, according to the New York Times, adding that they also ârecognize concerns raised by Ms. Lively deserved to be heard.â
âWe remain firmly committed to workplaces free of improprieties and unproductive environments. It is our sincere hope that this brings closure and allows all involved to move forward constructively and in peace, including a respectful environment online,” the statement continued.
This conflict began in December 2024 when Lively filed a complaint, accusing Baldoni of launching a smear campaign against her. In response, Baldoni filed a civil lawsuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds. However, recently, a judge dismissed the majority of the claims in Lively’s lawsuit, with only three of the 13 remaining. Baldoni himself was not a defendant in any of the remaining claims, with it instead being his production company, a public relations company, and the LLC for the film, CNN added.
“The end product â the movie It Ends With Us â is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life,” the statement added.
