Offset, a popular rapper, was shot near a popular casino in Florida, TMZ reports.
The shooting occurred on Monday, near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL, but a representative for the rapper revealed that he is “fine.”
“We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care,â a representative confirmed to Variety. âHe is stable and being closely monitored.â
The extent of Offset’s injuries are unknown as are the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
A representative for the Seminole County Police told TMZ, “We are aware of an incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m. Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.”
“Seminole Police were on site immediately and the situation was contained quickly,” the representative added. “Two individuals have been detained by police. The investigation is ongoing. The site is secure and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal.”

Offset opened up about the loss in an interview with Variety, saying that he is able to “get through my day thinking itâs fake. And I donât say nothing to nobody about it.”
Following his passing, thousands of fans gathered in Atlanta to pay tribute to the rapper, with a memorial held at State Farm Arena.
“It’s a sad day but you have to celebrate because he is one creative person. He has brought joy to us. Not just us — internationally,” a fan said when speaking with ABC affiliate station in Atlanta WSB-TV.
“[His loss] hit home,” another fan said. “He did a lot for the culture. I just love their music.”
