Before she met Dan, Helen was seeing a man whose name she has not revealed, who tragically died from cancer.
She shared that he was diagnosed just before she flew out to the Bahamas to film ITV’s Shark! Infested Celebrity Waters, which aired last July.
‘I had been dating someone who very suddenly got diagnosed with leukaemia,’ she said on the Mystic Mates podcast. ‘It was pretty serious from the start and he knew.
‘The next day after that happened I had to fly out to the Bahamas to film the ITV shark documentary. I would call my best friend and sob down the phone about this lovely, beautiful man.’
Helen believes he is still watching over her and ‘comes through’ in her clairvoyance readings, ‘looking after her’.
She added: ‘I’d like to be a clairvoyant. I’d like to talk to dead people.’
Recently, the actress went to a reading and the medium said an ex-boyfriend who died ‘very suddenly’ was making contact as he’s ‘not very happy’ about her ‘situation’.
‘I cried because it was wonderful to think this person, whom I didn’t really know for that long, was there,’ she said. ‘He was angry that he’d left me looking for someone else and then finding someone else who wasn’t suitable.’

Earlier this year, Dan moved into Helen’s London home, which she shares with her two children, Wren Ivy and Lark, who she co-parents with her ex-partner and co-star, Jack Ashton.
A source confirmed their apparent break-up, and Helen took to social media to share a series of posts hinting at her heartbreak.
This includes reposting a quote to her Instagram Story which made reference to ‘responding to disrespect.’
Helen and Dan are said to have begun their romance after meeting on the dating app Raya, appearing together at a string of industry events.
