After weeks of mounting backlash over his disgusting behaviour, David Haye has doubled down on his views about women in a shocking discussion.
The former professional boxer, 45, has left a bad taste in people’s mouths after his appeareance on I’m A Celebrity South Africa in which he was slammed for his ‘bullying’ of campmate Adam Thomas and his ‘fat-shaming’ of Gemma Collins.
Not to even mention his regressive views about women, including targeting his own girlfriend, Sian Obsbourne, who he declared had ‘ugly duckling syndrome’.
His provocative remarks led to fan outcry and calls for him to be eliminated from the show, with his co-stars eventually voting him off. Although he will return for the live final this Friday.
Since leaving the camp, David has doubled down on his misogynistic take about ‘ugly birds’.

He told The Sun that if you have a conversation in the dark with ’10 busted up, ugly chicks’ then ‘their personalities will be on average, in my opinion, significantly better’ than 10 supermodels ‘who’ve been stunning since they were little’.
Disturbingly, he concluded this point: ‘I’m saying my girlfriend has a personality of an ugly bird which sounds harsh when you say it, but it’s just how it is, it’s the truth and people don’t like the truth.”
If that wasn’t outrageous enough, he was then asked if he was a ‘feminist’, which he responded to with an even more gobsmacking take.
‘It depends what your version of feminism is. If we’re drafted to go to war, women won’t be drafted in the UK, right? So, no, we’re not equal,’ he said.
Despite the ongoing criticism of his behaviour from fans and co-stars alike, he will return for the imminent live final alongside controversial fellow contestant Jimmy Bullard and the rest of the cast.
Praising the jungle inhabitants as ‘nice people’, he reflected: ‘This has been the real David. Whether you think I’m the sexist or a bully, that’s your opinion, from a TV show that’s been edited.
‘If they think that, then good luck to them, I don’t really care.’
Just days ago, while he was still on screens, Adam revealed that he felt David had ‘broken him’ and shared that the heavyweight champion had apologised and he’d moved on.
However, in a later podcast the TV star, who suffers from psoriatic arthritis, was moved to tears as he shared he entered therapy following his treatment on the show from both David (who branded him ‘useless’) and co-star Jimmy.
I’m A Celebrity returns tonight at 9pm on ITV.
