Doctor Who actor Noel Clarke charged with sexual offences

Actor Noel Clarke has been charged with several sexual offences.

The Doctor Who actor was charged with offences of sexual assault, three charges of voyeurism and one charge of exposure, the Metropolitan Police said.

The offences relate to alleged offences between 2007 and 2016, connected to five women.

The 50-year-old will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, October 21.

Detective Superintendent Mike Cagney, who is leading the investigation, said: ‘The women connected to these charges continue to receive support from specially trained officers.

‘We urge anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault to contact police. The information you provide will be dealt with in the utmost sensitivity and we have trained investigators on hand to support you.

‘Support is also available by contacting the independent charity, Rape Crisis at 24/7 Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Line.’

Clarke, who grew up in London, rose to fame for playing Mickey Smith in Doctor Who and for the crime drama Kidulthood, which he also wrote and directed.

The actor also appeared in several films, including Star Trek and, most recently, in SAS: Red Notice in 2021, which he also wrote, directed and produced.
