Eva Longoria Bastón and her husband, José Bastón, have been happily since 2016. However, their love story needed a little time to fully bloom.
In a new interview, the 51-year-old actress dove into the early days of their relationship and admitted they definitely did not fall in love at first sight.

Eva Longoria Bastón Wasn’t Interested in Her Husband When They First Met
Today, the Bastóns are incredibly happy and are the parents of a 7-year-old son. But that wasn’t always the case. In fact, neither Eva Longoria nor José Bastón felt interested in pursuing a romantic relationship.
In a new appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” Eva sat down with the hostess to chat about life. Of course, Jennifer Hudson wanted to know more about their unfortunate first meeting and what happened afterward.
“You met your husband on a blind date right? And you guys have been married for 10 years. So what made you go out on the second date?” the show hostess asked in the interview.
“My friend set us up one time and we both were not interested,” the “Desperate Housewives” star described. “And six months later I ran into him again and that was fireworks. And I was like, ‘Who is that?’ and I was with my same friend and he was like, ‘That’s the guy I’ve been trying to set you up with!’”
Jennifer went on to ask what was different the next time around. Eva went on to describe how she saw José Bastón in a new light during their second meeting. She saw him as the “most handsome man” she’d ever seen.
“From that second, we call it love at second sight, from that moment we’ve never been apart,” the actress continued, encouraging the audience to give love a second chance.
The Actress Continues Living Life to the Fullest
Eva Longoria Bastón turned 51 this year, but doesn’t seem to have any intention of slowing down. While balancing family life, she also engages in acting roles and brand partnerships. Fans have even gushed at her fun vacation photos.
