Ellie Goulding has become the voice of the nation after taking to social media to confirm she’s just as invested in Lee Andrews whereabouts as the rest of us.
The past week has taken some bizarre twists and turns after reality star Katie Price told her followers that she feared her husband of five months, Dubai-based Lee, had been kidnapped.
While Katie shared receipts of his final desperate texts, his family officially filed him as a ‘missing person’, and the former glamour model has seen hide nor hair of him since.
Since his mysterious disappearance in the UAE – just days after he failed to arrive in the UK for an interview on Good Morning Britain – reports have emerged that he is actually ‘hiding out’ and is wanted by Interpol.
Not to mention a whole string of shocking claims about his alleged past deceitful behaviour by his ex-girlfriend, Alana Percival.
As far as we know, the last we heard, one TV personality, Luisa Zissman, claimed he had been spotted online, and Katie herself has left the matter in the hands of the police.
Lee has been under immense public scrutiny since his whirlwind marriage to Katie just days after meeting her in January. Since then, he has been accused of being a conman, lying about his professional credentials and whether he has a travel ban preventing him from leaving Dubai.
So this latest twist in the Lee saga is not entirely out of the blue.
Still, with Katie, Lee’s family, and the general public none the wiser as to exactly what has happened to the man, even Love Like You Do hitmaker Ellie is fraught with curiosity.
Often the subject of nonsensical ‘fake showbiz news’ memes online, a recent post from X user Steve Bonaventure read: ‘Ellie Goulding says she can’t believe Katie Price’s husband is missing. “Where the f**k is he?” she said.’
The singer-songwriter was quick to set the record straight, however.
‘This is not fake news, where IS he! We all need to know this information,’ the real Ellie commented underneath.
Wading into the Katie Price Lee Andrews drama has delighted fans.
‘We’re witnessing hitherto unknown levels of banter,’ Gwdihw wrote.
‘I love that Ellie has embraced this questioning. A question we all should be asking,’ Dean agreed.
‘She’s an icon, she’s a legend and she is curious where is he!’ Wenek declared.
And Ellie is not the only celebrity sharing their two pence on the increasingly baffling situation.
Everything Lee Andrews has been accused of since marrying Katie Price
Misleading claims of being a multi-millionaire business owner
When Katie named Lee as her new partner, he was selling himself as the CEO of Aura Group Future Urban Travel 2027 and an ‘investor in SpaceX Hybrid Fitness.’
His profile, which had 111k followers, was littered with photos of the entrepreneur in the gym and enjoying the high life in Dubai – also appearing to rub shoulders with Elon Musk and Kim Kardashian.
However, it was all later exposed as a farce – with no information about his company on its website, and his snaps with celebrities appearing to also be AI-generated.
Being banned from leaving Dubai
After meeting and marrying her new husband in Dubai, it came time for Katie to fly home to the UK – however her husband was unable to join her.
This was due to the fact that he’d allegedly served time in Dubai’s Al-Awir central prison for suspected fraud, for allegedly taking out a £200,000 mortgage in his ex-girlfriend’s name without her knowledge.
The UAW bans people facing criminal investigations from leaving the country, however Lee denied he was unable to return to the UK and said there must be some ‘wrong details’.
However, Katie later confirmed he was subjected to a ban, but didn’t clarify why.
Teasing a fake pregnancy
Just a few weeks into their relationship, both Katie and Lee teased they were expecting a baby. After Katie declared she was ‘having his child’ Lee wrote they were a ‘perfect couple soon to be triple’.
At one point, the mum of five even urged her followers to pay £2.99 to find out the results of a pregnancy test.
Despite the attempts to generate publicity, she then confirmed she was not pregnant.
Scamming a string of women
Days after Katie and Lee tied the knot, two of his exes accused him of being a ‘liar, narcissist and manipulator’.
Two months later, it was then reported he’d been begging women for money weeks before he married Katie.
His ex Alana, then shared a post on Instagram calling him the ‘Tinder Swindler’ and claimed multiple women had contacted her saying he’d tried to scam them out of money too.
‘Ghosting’ his wife
After Lee failed to return to the UK last week, Katie revealed she had concerns he’d been kidnapped and then reported him as a missing person.
However, it was then reported that Lee had actually ‘ghosted’ his wife and was ‘squatting in a slightly run-down villa’ in Dubai and using a burner phone.
The publication reported he was ‘frantically planning a route out of this ginormous hole he appears to have buried himself in’.

Weighing in on the discourse on her Telling Everybody Everything podcast, Katherine Ryan called people out for being ‘so unkind’ to Katie for defending Lee.
‘I think what’s happened is this. She has a rescue syndrome for whatever reason. Being the firstborn, she’s very different to her brother and sister.
‘She’s had trauma that mixes things up, but I think she’s also made so many romantic mistakes publicly that this one is so big, she’s fearing: “Oh, if this all comes out and he’s exposed as this scammer, then I look stupider than ever, everyone’s gonna say I’m foolish.”
‘She cannot let that be true. So it’s a mix of like shame and loyalty. She just wants it to be true so badly that she’s constructed this reality where she’s hopeful,’ the comedian reflected.
Acknowledging Katie perhaps ‘didn’t practice her due diligence’ before tying the knot with Lee so soon after meeting, she offered her understanding that sometimes in ‘dodgy relationships’ you end up ‘digging your heels in harder’.
‘So much unkindness around this story like so many of us haven’t also been bewitched by some bulls**t,’ she wrote in the caption.
Meanwhile, in her own podcast episode, The Katie Price Show, earlier this week, Katie explained her stance going forward, ‘for her own sanity’.
She told listeners: ‘There’s nothing more for me to say aside from the police are now handling it. The British police, the British consulate, the Foreign Office, and Interpol.
‘They are all on the case now, looking for Lee, and a lot of people didn’t think this was serious; they still don’t think it is serious, so I have decided from today.
‘There is absolutely nothing more I can do, nothing more I can say and now the police are dealing with it, I’m just leaving it to the police.’
