Frankie Valli Cancels Remaining Tour Dates Amid Health Concerns at 92

Music legend Frankie Valli is taking a break from the road.

The Four Seasons frontman announced on May 29 that he is canceling the remainder of his 2026 tour dates as he focuses on his health. Valli, who celebrated his 92nd birthday on May 3, shared the news directly with fans in an Instagram post.

“I’m so sorry to disappoint the folks who have purchased tickets to my shows, but I have decided to take the rest of the year off from touring to focus on my health,” Valli wrote. “I’m looking forward to getting healthy and seeing you all again soon. Thank you for all your good wishes.”

The announcement brings an early end to the singer’s long-running farewell tour, “The Last Encores,” which began in October 2023 and was originally scheduled to continue through October 2026. According to People, Valli and The Four Seasons were expected to resume touring in June before the remaining dates were canceled.

Frankie Valli Plans to Prioritize His Health

While fans may be disappointed by the news, Valli’s team says the decision was made to allow him time to focus on his recovery.

According to Variety, Valli’s longtime representative, Victoria Varela, said the singer chose to cancel the dates rather than continue postponing them.

“Promoters want to prolong things and not give people their money back, but he needs to not keep rescheduling these shows,” Varela told the outlet. She added that Valli “realized he needed to take a break and get his health in order.”

Valli hopes to spend the next six months focusing on his health before evaluating a possible return to performing in 2027.

The outlet also reported that several dates originally scheduled for April had already been pushed back before being canceled altogether. In total, nine remaining concerts were affected.

Valli’s last performance took place Feb. 22 at Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California.

The cancellation comes after years of Valli remaining committed to performing despite his age. Fans have continued to show up to his concerts, many praising the singer’s dedication and longevity on stage.

The Singer Previously Addressed Health Concerns

In 2024, videos from several of Valli’s performances circulated online, leading some fans to question his health and speculate about whether he was being pressured to continue touring.

Per People, Valli responded to the rumors making it clear that he was still performing because he wanted to.

“I am blessed to be 90 years old and still be doing what I love to do,” he said at the time. “As long as I am able, and audiences want to come see me, I am going to be out there performing as I always.”

He also denied accusations that anyone was forcing him to take the stage, saying, “Nobody has ever made me do anything I didn’t want to do.”

Valli’s career has spanned more than six decades. He rose to fame as the lead singer of The Four Seasons, the group behind hits including “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man,” “Rag Doll” and “December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night).” He also found solo success with songs such as “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” and “My Eyes Adored You.”

Over the years, Valli has sold more than 100 million records, earned induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and inspired the hit Broadway musical “Jersey Boys.” Most recently, he received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

For now, the legendary performer is stepping away from the spotlight to focus on his health.

“I’m looking forward to getting healthy and seeing you all again soon.”
