A roguelike Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game is cheaper than a coffee across Switch and PlayStation 5, and it supports local co-op.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has a long history of video games, starting with the classic arcade brawler from 1989, but it’s seen a resurgence in the medium over recent years.

This was kickstarted by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge in 2022, which was a throwback to the Konami-developed brawlers of yesteryear. Since then, we’ve also had The Cowabunga Collection, which repackaged various classic games.

If both these games drew from the past, more recent titles have attempted to move things forward, including 2024’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate.

Developed by Super Evil Megacorp, Splintered Fate is a roguelike take on the usual brawler foundations, heavily inspired by Hades.

It follows the four turtles – Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo – on a quest across New York as they try to save their master, Splinter, from the Shredder and his Foot Clan goons.

If you’ve been on the fence about it (or didn’t know it existed), there’s very little reason not to give it a try as it’s currently 90% off across PlayStation 5 and Switch.

On PlayStation 4 and 5, the game has been reduced from £23.99 to £2.39, which is cheaper than a double cheeseburger at McDonald’s. This offer runs until May 6, 2026, so you have a week to capitalise on it.

Similarly, on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, Splintered Fate is going for £2.69. This offer is running until May 21 on Nintendo’s system.

There’s no discount on Xbox weirdly, but it is 75% off on Steam at £5.99. Alternatively, the Gold Edition with various DLC is 60% off at £12.46.

While you might think the sharp discount reflects the game’s quality, Splintered Fate has a decent score of 73 on Metacritic. If anything, it’s a decent multiplayer distraction, as it supports both local and online co-op for up to four players.

As for the future, a VR game titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City is set to launch tomorrow. A God Of War-inspired TMNT game titled The Last Ronin is also in development, after it was announced in 2023.
