For months now, fans have wondered where Lady Gaga and tech CEO fiancé Michael Polansky have been.
One of the most famous and successful singer-songwriters of all time, Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, 40, has been ‘missing’ since the end of her Mayhem Ball world tour.
The Grammy winner’s absence from the limelight sparked all sorts of rumours online, including claims she’d secretly eloped or that she might be pregnant.
Well, on September 12, 2026, Gaga and Michael were seen for the first time in months, and it appears as though at least some of the rumours might have been true.
A photo showing the couple walking with a child has hit the web, and fans (and the media) believe Gaga finally has a ‘little monster’ of her own.
But what do we know about Gaga and Michael’s relationship? How did they meet, and are these baby rumours true? Let’s dive in.
Who is Michael Polansky?
Michael Polansky is an American entrepreneur and philanthropist. Born in Minnesota, Michael co-founded Outer Biosciences, a biotechnology company focused on skin health and dermatology.
He is also a music producer and co-wrote several songs with Lady Gaga, including Disease, How Bad Do U Want Me, LoveDrug, and Vanish into You.
According to LinkedIn, the entrepreneur studied Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at Harvard University from 2002 to 2006 before starting his lucrative tech business career.
In 2016, Michael co-founded the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy, which is described as an ‘active research institute hoping to ‘remove barriers, encourage collaboration and turn ideas into real-world cancer treatments’.
He runs this alongside Facebook co-founder Sean Parker. His net worth has been estimated to be up to $600million.
How did Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky meet?
Lady Gaga first heard of Michael Polansky through her mother, Cynthia, who met Michael at a charity event.
Gaga explained to Vogue that her mum told her: ‘I think I just met your husband.’ Gaga brushed her mum off, though, as she ‘could never have imagined that my mom… found the most perfect person for me.’
In September 2019, though, Michael and Gaga were introduced while attending Sean Parker’s birthday and apparently spoke for three hours.
‘I didn’t know much about her and honestly wasn’t sure what to expect,’ Michael added. ‘I was struck immediately by her warmth and openness. She was so genuinely curious about what my life was like growing up in Minnesota.’
After talking every day for three weeks, Michael eventually flew out to Las Vegas to take Gaga on her first date.
After weeks of speculation, in February 2020, the House of Gucci star posted an Instagram photo of her cuddling up with Michael in Miami, with the caption: ‘We had so much fun in Miami. Love to all my little monsters and fans, you’re the best!’
The post gained almost three million likes as fans flocked to the comments to congratulate the happy couple.
After going Instagram official, a source told Entertainment Tonight: ‘She wasn’t expecting to get so involved so quickly after her last relationship, but she started telling her friends she was completely in love with him.
‘Anyone that has spent any time with them can see the connection. They are completely smitten. Her friends haven’t seen her this happy in years. It didn’t take long for her friends to adore him too.’
The same year she said in an interview that she was looking forward to ‘marriage’ and kids.
‘I will say I am very excited to have kids,’ she told InStyle. ‘I look forward to being a mum. Isn’t it incredible what we can do? We can hold a human inside and grow it.’
In July 2024, after months of speculation, the couple announced their engagement at the Paris Olympics, although they’d been engaged since April.
Did Lady Gaga have a baby?
At the time of writing, it’s been reported that Lady Gaga has a baby.
Neither Gaga nor Michael has publicly confirmed the news, but both Page Six and People have claimed that sources close to the couple have said it’s true.
Pictures are circulating that appear to show the pair walking through California with Gaga carrying a young baby. The child’s gender, name, and birth date are unknown.
