“Deliver Me From Nowhere” is writer-director Scott Cooper’s latest biopic that also features “Succession” star Jeremy Strong as Springsteen’s manager and record producer Jon Landau.

The movie follows the making of the 1982 album “Nebraska,” one of the singer’s more personal and popular records. Tracks on the record include the title song, “Atlantic City,” and “Highway Patrolman.”

“Deliver Me From Nowhere” also stars Stephen Graham, Odessa Young, Paul Walter Hauser, Gaby Hoffmann, Johnny Cannizzaro, Harrison Gilbertson, Marc Maron, David Krumholtz and Chris Jaymes.

Glory Days

The movie marks Cooper’s second musically driven film following 2009’s “Crazy Heart” that follows Jeff Bridges as a Hank Thompson-esque country star who is looking for a new lease on life.

The movie’s title and subject matter follow author Warren Zanes’ 2023 book subtitled “The Making of Bruce Spingsteen’s Nebraska.”

“Nebraska” is one of Spingsteen’s most lauded records. Since its release, retrospective reviews paint the album as one of the best in the singer’s catalogue. Rolling Stone ranked it as 43rd in the magazine’s “100 Greatest Albums of the 1980’s.” It ranked similarly in other publications including Slant Magazine, NME, Spine, Paste and more.

In 2023, Springsteen spoke to CBS Sunday Mornings about the importance of “Nebraska.” In the interview, he talked about how personal the record came out to be. Plus, his evolution as a singer-songwriter.

“Deliver Me From Nowhere” is set to release on October 24, 2025.
