Jim Carrey, 64, secretly marries longtime girlfriend in private ceremony

Jim Carrey has married longtime partner Min Ah in a secret ceremony in Los Angeles.

The Hollywood star, 64, tied the knot for the third time in a private celebration in Los Angeles.

A representative for the actor confirmed the news to Metro.

The couple went public with their relationship in February of this year after attending the César Awards in Paris together.

At the ceremony, the Ace Ventura: Pet Detective star thanked his partner and called her his ‘sublime companion’ before adding, ‘I love you, Min Ah.’ 

Min Ah works as an actress and artist and goes by the name Minzi.

The couple have been together for several years, but the Bruce Almighty star has been notoriously private about his personal life in recent years, joking that he might quit acting to live quietly.

‘If the angels bring some sort of script that’s written in gold ink, that says to me that it’s going to be really important for people to see, I might continue down the road. But I’m taking a break,’ Carrey told Access Hollywood in 2022.

‘I really like my quiet life, and I really love putting paint on canvas, and I really love my spiritual life, and I feel like — and this is something you might never hear another celebrity say as long as time exists – I have enough.’

This is the third marriage for the comedian, who previously wed his Dumb and Dumber co-star Lauren Holly in 1996.

The pair were together for just eight months before divorcing.

Before his relationship with Lauren, he was married to actress Melissa Womer from 1987 until 1995.

The pair had daughter Jane together, who is now 39.

Throughout his career the actor has had several high-profile romances, including a relationship with Renée Zellweger, who he admitted was the ‘the love of his life’ two decades after their year-long romance.

He also dated Playboy model Jenny McCarthy for five years until 2010. The actress recently commented on wild speculation that he was replaced by a clone after fans remarked on his noticeably different appearance earlier this year.

Carrey also had a three-year-long relationship with Irish makeup artist and stylist Cathriona White, who died by suicide at the age of 30 on September 28, 2015.

He described his former partner as a ‘truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil’ and attended her funeral, where he was a pallbearer.

A wrongful death civil lawsuit against the actor regarding the death Cathriona was dismissed on January 25, 2018.
